Meatless Monday Recipe: Toasted Ravioli

September 19, 2011 2:38 pm

Toasted Ravioli is one of my favorites which can be served as a side dish or main entree.  And the best part is that this is literally a 5 minute meal!!!

Begin with any freshly prepared or packaged ravioli.  My favorite is Trader Joe’s Portabella Ravioli (YUMMY!!)

Toasted Ravioli

Ingredient:

12 pcs freshley prepared ravioli of choice / 1 pkt per-packaged ravioli (abt 12 pcs)
Grape seed oil or Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Freshly ground black pepper (pinch)
Sea Salt (pinch)
Italian Seaonsing (pinch)
Crushed Red Pepper (optional)
Freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Place an 11″ non-stick frying pan over medium heat.  Once the pan has warmed up, drizzle 4 tbs grape seed / extra virgin olive oil.  When oil has warmed up, place ravioli  evenly through out pan.  Wet each peace of ravioli with warm oil and turn immediately.  Add sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.  Once alternate side is cooked, turn ravioli.  Add Italian seasoning and crushed red pepper to taste.  Turn ravioli once more and let cook until golden brown.  Plate and garnish with freshly grated Parmesan Cheese.  Serve immediately & enjoy.

This looks delicious, I have tried grilled by ravioli many times but have found it to be very bland and dry even after adding oil and spices, how do you get yours to not dry out
